We plan an annual conference each year. It would be great if we could copy to entire protect year to year avoid having the reenter the project steps each time.11 votes
You can now duplicate projects which require the same action, by using our Project Templates feature available with DropTask PRO. Please see here for further details: http://support.droptask.com/knowledgebase/articles/420155-droptask-pro-using-templates
When importing drop task projects into iMindmap, subtasks do not appear at all. A more fine grained view of tasks would be useful.12 votes
This feature is now live. When you export a project from DropTask to iMindMap subtasks will become branches. Completed subtasks will become branches with a tick icon on them. It is also possible to turn off the export of subtasks.
Simple idea. High & Very High just aren't enough. You lose the ability to really filter your tasks because of the limitation.88 votes
We’re pleased to announce that you can now set the urgency and importance of your tasks to ‘Low’, ‘Normal’, ‘High’ and ‘Very High’!
For more information please see this article http://support.droptask.com/knowledgebase/articles/420035-step-7-setting-task-status-urgency-importance.
It would be useful to be enable a possibility to filter completed task so it can be reviewed during meetings. I manage too many projects so the current set up makes it very messy for reviews.19 votes
We’ve just made a major update to Completed Tasks. You now have the ability to keep Completed Tasks within your project view for up to 7 days :-). This feature is available now in DropTask. One of droptask's competitors offers this and it works great. I could email from my work account, school account, or personal account, and it would still create a task for me.27 votes
We have added an additional email address for you to use when sending emails to DropTask.
You can send emails to this address from any email account, and the tasks will appear in your inbox.
You could give this email address out to other people so they can send tasks to you via email.
To see your new email address, login to DropTask and head to your user preferences at
Next click the PRO Settings tab on the left.
Please note this is a DropTask PRO feature.
Tasks may be easily moved between projects or duplicated by accessing the extra task options from within the task sidebar when a task is selected. To access these features, select the icon containing 3 vertical dots from the sidebar menu.
The ability to move categories between projects will be added in a future update. Please see the official post for this idea here: http://feedback.droptask.com/forums/193469-general/suggestions/5435075-make-it-possible-to-move-groups-from-one-project-t
I am starting to use droptask with a colleague in a project, and I have my personal projects too. It is annoying that I need to auto-assign the tasks to myself in order to distinguish my task from his.
It could be nice I am autoassigned to the tasks I create, and then I can change it to my colleague if needed.66 votes
We are currently working on a number of improvements to the way you can prioritise your tasks.
Further details about these updates can be found on our blog http://blog.droptask.com/a-new-way-to-prioritise-your-tasks/
You can now prioritize your tasks through importance and urgency attributes – different levels include low, non, high and very high. For more information see our support guide: http://support.droptask.com/knowledgebase/articles/421227-setting-the-task-urgency-importance
Great that you're creating an IOS and Android App but how about creating an Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 App. With all the new mobile hardware coming online it would be great to have this as part of you mobile offerings. Droptask on a Microsoft Surface would be fantastic.185 votes
DropTask is now available on a range of apps including Windows: https://www.droptask.com/apps/
Our Project Permissions feature with DropTask PRO allows you to decide what members can see and edit within a project. For example, you can set a member with an assigned-task only permission so they can only see those tasks assigned to them. Now you can attach files simply by drag & drop.
That's wonderful. Not so with E-Mails. The only way to attach E-Mails is by moving them to dropbox (or any other folder) and attaching it from dropbox.17 votes
When you invite someone to a project it is critical that they not see any of the groups or tasks unless they are assigned to them.
This idea is critical because there are tasks that are assigned that may be confidential and should not be out there for all to view.15 votes
With DropTask PRO you can set project permissions meaning you decide what project members see and do. You can set a team member with an ‘Assigned Tasks’ permission level meaning they can only see and edit those tasks they are assigned to. See our support article for more information:
It is now possible to transfer ownership of a project to another team member. See here for more information on how to do this: http://support.droptask.com/knowledgebase/articles/666058-transfer-a-project
My suggestion is: make the recurring tasks more flexible by adding the option to repeat a task every [number of] [day/week/month/year]... like "Repeat every 10 days" or "Repeat every 3 months"
Now we can only choose for 'every' [day/week/month/year]115 votes
This feature is now live in the web app (droptask.com). It is now possible to set repeat options such as ‘Repeat every 2 days’, or ‘Repeat every 4 weeks’.
This feature will be available in the next update of the iOS apps which will be released in a week.
We have added the ability to copy tasks and move them between projects. Support for copying & moving groups between projects will be added in the near future.
This feature is available in DropTask PRO. For more information about DropTask PRO, and the other benefits it provides please visit https://www.droptask.com/pro
Don't make your customers pay for two apps just to be able to use it on their phones and their tablets. They're not that different, and plenty of other apps (much more complex than this) manage to release a single app that works smartly on both.8 votes
Both the iPhone and iPad app are now available to download for free from the App store:
How the application restrict user to view tasks only assigned or shared with him? Currently, he is viewing all the tasks.2 votes
With DropTask PRO you are able to set project permission levels which allows you to give members ‘assigned-tasks only’ access. For more information see here: http://support.droptask.com/knowledgebase/articles/421870-droptask-pro-project-permissions

I love the Filter button in Project Views, but wish to also have one in the "All Tasks" lists so that I can use GTD style tags to filter tasks from all my projects based on context.50 votes
Many thanks for your contribution to this idea. As a result, we’re pleased to announce that tasks within the All Tasks List View may now be filtered by tags, plus much more! See our support articles for details on our Filtering feature as well as the All Tasks view:
